Varikiotika – Variko
Around August 15th, the entire village of Variko celebrates the Varikiotika, a three-day cultural festival that fills the area with music, aromas, and smiles. From August 13th to 15th, locals and visitors alike gather in the village square, where the Bean Festival takes center stage. Oven-baked beans—the star of the celebration—are offered free to all, accompanied by wine and local appetizers. Traditional bands keep the rhythm alive for days, and dancing becomes a shared celebration of life, land, and community.
