Valmas
After the Tranos Horos in Kleisoura, the Valmas follows in the courtyard of Saint Nicholas: an old pastoral game played only by men, symbolizing the resistance of the valmades (horse herders) against the oppression of the kehagias (overseers). It is linked to deep-rooted folk traditions and myths. Once the 20-minute game ends, the square turns into a great celebration with songs and wine.
