Tsaknochori Bridge
Over the Pramoritsa River, at the borders between Kozani and Grevena, the Tsaknochori Bridge is one of the most significant monuments in the area. Measuring 49 meters in length, with a main arch spanning 15 meters, it once connected surrounding villages with the commercial center of Tsotyli and served livestock breeders moving their herds toward Thessaly. Built before 1870, the bridge harmoniously blends with the river landscape and has endured the test of time. Local folklore links it to a postman who, mourning the loss of his daughter, prayed to the gods for the strength to build it. The bridge was repaired in 1937 and was designated a protected monument. Its recent restoration has ensured its preservation as a living symbol of Voio’s historical and architectural heritage.
