Museum of Contemporary Art of Florina

One of the city’s oldest buildings, beside the Sakoulevas River, houses the Museum of Contemporary Art, founded in 1977. Today it hosts more than 700 works of painting, sculpture, and printmaking by Greek and international artists. Works by Moralis, Kapralos, Tsoklis, Chatzikyriakos-Ghikas, Chagall, and Nicholson, among several others, form a collection that is a true treasure of postwar art. The museum frequently hosts temporary exhibitions and is a key reference point for the city’s artistic life.
