Konstantineia
Every year in May, Deskati celebrates its patron saints, Saint Constantine and Saint Helen, with the “Konstantineia”, during which visitors can watch or take part in running races (either on public roads or mountain routes) alongside seasoned athletes and people who simply wish to experience the joy of participation and physical activity. Traditional dances, live music and a festive atmosphere connect local religious history with contemporary life and sport, making the event one of the most important in the area, and ranking its races among the largest running events in Western Macedonia.
