Kastoria Aquarium
Among the city’s most appealing family-style attractions, the largest freshwater aquarium in the Balkans presents 56 species of freshwater fish, mostly native and endemic species of Lake Orestiada, as well as turtles, crayfish, newts, and other species. The experience is especially child-friendly: children learn about biodiversity and encounter endangered or threatened species, such as freshwater crayfish and sturgeon. Visiting provides a great opportunity to connect the lake you see outside, with the ecosystem hidden within it.
