Holy Monastery of Saint Paraskevi

About fifteen minutes from Ptolemaida, on the borders of the communities of Milochori and Foufas, you will encounter the Holy Monastery of Saint Paraskevi. It is built on the foundations of a Byzantine church also dedicated to Saint Paraskevi, at a site indicated in 1932 by a local resident, Chryssoula Konti, following a vision she reportedly had of the Saint. Today, it is an important religious center for the entire region. The monastery’s celebrations are held on July 26th, attracting crowds from all places, nearby or not. Within the monastery complex, you will also find several chapels dedicated to Saint Kyriaki, Saint Ignatius the God-Bearer, Saint Nektarios, and the Life-giving Spring, enhancing the site’s serene and devotional atmosphere.
