Holy Monastery of Agios Georgios above Eptachori

Hidden in a wooded ravine on the slopes of Mount Taliaros, overlooking the village of Eptachori, the Monastery of Agios Georgios welcomes you with breathtaking views toward Mount Smolikas and Mount Grammos. The monastery’s katholikon, surrounded by auxiliary buildings, dates back to 1625 and follows the Athonite architectural style. Step inside its interior concealing impressive post-Byzantine frescoes.
