Holy Church of Saint Dimitrios
The Holy Church of Saint Dimitrios is one of the most beautiful and historic landmarks of Kozani. As you approach, you will be impressed by the elegant architecture of the church and its distinctive bell tower, one of its most recognizable features. Although its present form dates back to 1863, the church’s presence in the area is much older, likely originating from Byzantine times. Inside the church, you will find two small chapels dedicated to Saint Panteleimon and Saint Lazarus, while the parish also preserves holy relics of Saint Dimitrios, Saint Nektarios, and Saint Luke the Evangelist. Directly opposite the church lies the Park of Saint Dimitrios, a relaxing green space.
