Ethnological and Folklore Museum of Lechovo “Georgios Gorantis”
Founded in 1976 by the “Prophet Elijah” United Association of Lechovo Residents, the museum has been housed in the rear wing of the Urban School building on the village square, since 1984. It bears the name “Georgios Gorantis” in honor of its founder, recognizing his long-standing and selfless contribution to preserving local heritage. During your visit, you shall encounter historical documents, tools, textiles, stone objects, traditional costumes, and household items that bring everyday life of earlier times to life in a most vivid manner. The museum’s ecclesiastical collection is equally impressive, featuring sacred books dating from 1600 to 1850.
