Church of Agia Paraskevi in Siatista
In Gerania Square stands the oldest church in Siatista (1677), a three-aisled domed basilica that reflects the city’s artistic and spiritual heights. Its interior is striking: a gilded carved wooden iconostasis, a stone baptismal font, and a women’s gallery that surprises visitors, where the figures of Aristotle, Plato, and Solon appear alongside ecclesiastical iconography. Here, you will want to pause and admire the detail and expressive power of the era’s artistry. Outside, the six-sided bell tower, constructed in 1862 through donations from the residents of Gerania, has become a defining landmark of the neighborhood.
