Cave Church of Saint George Kremastos
Carved into a steep rock face east of the Byzantine castle of Servia, the Cave Church of Saint George Kremastos awaits you. Access is provided via a modern staircase, while its interior is decorated with Byzantine frescoes dating to the 13th and 15th centuries, which, despite damage, remain visible in significant sections. The 15th-century frescoes are influenced by the Kastoria school, reflecting the artistic flourishing of that era.
