From December 8 to January 8, Kastoria puts on its festive attire, inviting you to experience an entire month filled with sparkle and joy. With the lighting of the Christmas tree, a rich schedule of festivities begins: concerts, theatrical performances, outdoor activities, and themed guided tours immerse you into the Christmas spirit. In the “Magical Lake Town”, children and adults alike become part of a fairytale setting full of games, activities, and surprises. At the same time, the city comes alive through local customs, gastronomic events, and music that fills its streets. The celebrations culminate in the Ragoutsaria, Kastoria’s carnival—a wild parade with feasting, dancing, and boundless cheer, bidding farewell to the old year in the most joyful way.
