Potato Festival – Sklithro

Every August, Sklithro celebrates one of the humblest, yet most beloved products of the Macedonian land: the potato. At the height of summer, the Potato Festival brings locals and visitors together for a large open-air feast, where village women cook traditional potato dishes—fried, boiled, baked, and stuffed. Enjoy them all alongside local wine as music, dancing, and laughter create an atmosphere that honors the farmer’s work and the simplicity of Macedonian life.
