Nostos Aianeon
Every August 15th in Aiani, the great reunion celebration of the Aiani diaspora takes place, a feast honoring communal unity and preserving collective memory. “Nostos Aianeon” is organized by the “I Proodos” Cultural and Educational Association of Aiani and the Community of Aiani. On the evening of August 14th, the Church of the Dormition of the Theotokos fills with people for the Vespers service, followed by a festive procession of the icon in the square. On the morning of August 15th, the Divine Liturgy is celebrated in the morning and, in the evening of that day, the central square hosts the grand reunion festival of locals and visitors, featuring live music, traditional dances, food, and fine wine.
