Hot Air Balloons in Pentalofos

On Clean Monday, the sky above Pentalofos fills with colorful hot air balloons in one of Voio’s most impressive customs. Residents construct the balloons using paper and glue, heat them at the base with a flame, and release them into the sky, creating a magical spectacle. Some even carry satirical messages commenting on current events. The day also features traditional music and Lenten foods such as bean soup, halva, and olives, prepared by the women of the Cultural Association.
