Argos Orestiko Trade Fair
The Argos Orestiko Trade Fair means way more than just another commercial fair. It is an authentic celebration of local entertainment, one of the largest in Greece, with deep roots in the past — and it attracts thousands of visitors each year. Strolling among its colorful stalls, you will encounter products of all sorts: from clothing, blankets, and carpets to kitchenware, local products, legumes, fruits, loukoumia, halva, and loukoumades — products for every taste, mood, and budget. Around you, the air fills with the familiar ambrosial scents of outdoor grills, while the amusement park adds a nostalgic touch of childhood joy and carefree fun. The history of the event is found in the depths of time, with references dating to the Ottoman Period, when Argos Orestiko —then known as Hroupista— hosted the Kaza market, recorded in Ottoman registers of 1568.
