Holy Church of Saint Nicholas

Also in Vlasti, you will encounter the Holy Church of Saint Nicholas, the oldest Orthodox church in the settlement. Built in 1761, it is a stone-built three-aisled basilica distinguished by its majestic simplicity. In the church’s courtyard stand the busts of Kosmas of Aetolia and Georgios Sina, a strong reminder of the site’s close connection to the spiritual history of the region. The church suffered significant damage during the German rule and Civil War, but it was reconstructed thanks to the utmost care and support of local residents, preserving its distinctive character.
