Folklore Museum of Christos Tsiotsios – Tatiana Nterou
In Gerania, in an auxiliary building of the Poulkos mansion purchased by its current owners in 1999, a carefully restored “home-style” museum houses 3,800 objects. Dating from the 18th to the 20th century, the items were collected from abandoned buildings and through community donations, over the span of 27 years. In the cellar, you will wander among tools used for weaving, winemaking, and agricultural work. Upstairs, a fully furnished traditional Siatista home awaits you, complete with a kitchen, a formal sitting room (kalos ontas), a bedroom, winter quarters, textiles, children’s toys, books, and coins. This thoughtfully curated space offers more than a display of tradition: one can see everyday life from another era, vividly brought back to life.
