Bridge of Pramoritsa in Klimataki

The Bridge of Pramoritsa stands on the river of the same name, a tributary of the River Aliakmon, near the village of Klimataki, on a historic road that connected Kastoria with Trikala via Grevena, thus facilitating the passage of merchants, stone craftsmen and livestock breeders of the Pindus. It is a stone, four-arched bridge, 49 metres long and 9 metres high, with a main arch spanning 15 metres. The bridge has a stone-paved deck that is 2.70 metres wide, with a low parapet, an abutment resting on natural rock, and triangular cutwaters protecting its piers. Its estimated construction date is before 1770–1780, which makes it one of the oldest stone bridges in the area.
