Wax Museum

In Mavrochori, two neoclassical buildings become a stage where history unfolds through wax representations. You shall see scenes from everyday life during bygone eras come to life (the bread-making cycle, wool processing), an impressive traditional wedding scene with the bride, groom, and priest, as well as prehistoric lake fishermen connecting human presence with the area’s aquatic landscape. You will also admire costumes, musical instruments, and weapons that appear strikingly real. Right outside, a large courtyard featuring reconstructions of old shops and wax figures of professionals will immerse you in the former atmosphere of the neighborhood.
