Macedonian Struggle Museum of Kastoria
Housed in the Picheon mansion, near Emmanouil Brothers Square, the museum allows you to dive into one of the most important chapters of the region’s modern history. Relics from descendants of Macedonian fighters, uniforms, photographs from the early phase and the peak of the Struggle, as well as an impressive map room—the oldest one dating back to 1550—unravel the thread connecting local society with the historical events preceding the Balkan Wars. The museum also includes a research room and a lending library with more than 2,500 book titles.
