ARCTUROS
A visit to Nymfaio offers a unique opportunity to learn about wildlife and raise awareness about its protection through the work of ARCTUROS. At the Brown Bear Information Center, housed in the historic building of the Nikios School, you will learn about the evolution, geographic distribution, and biology of the species, as well as the threats it faces today. The experience continues at the Bear Sanctuary, where you can observe bears rescued and cared for by ARCTUROS in a specially designed and fenced 50-acre area. Nearby, in Agrapidies, you will find the Wolf and Lynx Sanctuary, set within a natural oak forest of 70 acres, where you can observe these protected animals in a natural environment and gain a better understanding of conservation efforts.
